The Bioboost Bioeconomy Accelerator, located in the AgroBioTech Park of Lleida, was inaugurated on June 20th, setting an important milestone in the project’s development. Through this collaboration, BioBoost becomes integrated into the bioeconomy’s business ecosystem and establishes connections with relevant projects such as BioHubCat, promoted by the Government of Catalonia, which seeks to promote the valorization of renewable biological resources and drive technological transformation in this field.
During the inauguration event, a conference was held where prominent experts in bioeconomy shared their ideas and key points. Innovative European projects like Life Biorefformed, Hoop, Resource, and BioeconomyVentures were also presented, all actively working in the field of bioeconomy. The main topics discussed were the importance of changing the rules of the game to facilitate administrative procedures and incentivise markets, the significance of effective communication, and measuring the systemic impact that projects have on the territory.
With the establishment of the Accelerator in the AgroBioTech Park of Lleida and the participation in BioHubCat, BioBoost positions itself to lead and drive the growth of the bioeconomy in Catalonia. Through this initiative, we will work hand in hand with other bioeconomy projects, overcoming barriers and promoting sustainable development in this field.
