Presentation of the BioBoost project at the 1st BIT Congress 2022

The BIT Congress (Bioeconomy, Innovation and Technology), organized by the Department of Climate Action, Food and Rural Agenda of the Generalitat de Catalunya, Fira de Lleida and Vic City Council, with the support of the Provincial Council of Lleida and the Lleida City Council is the main meeting point for companies, start-ups and research centers that lead the present and future of the bioeconomy in Catalonia.

The event, held annually in Lleida and Vic, aims to become a space to boost the transformation of the primary and agro-industrial sector, with the promotion of business models and technological adoptions that encourage local production and consumption of bioproducts and bioenergy. The aim is to provide solutions to the necessary decarbonisation of the economy at a global level, and to revitalize and make the rural economy more competitive.

Around fifty speakers participated in the congress, sharing experiences around the bioeconomy in different thematic sessions, round tables, workshops and presentations. Among them, Anna Lluís, CEO of Símbiosy, has announced the BioBoost project, which will allow the network of contacts around this initiative to be expanded.
